Here is a really fantastic c.1960’s Signed Alfred Birdsey (1912-1996) Oil on Canvas Painting of a Harbor in Bermuda!

It’s in great condition with a very nice frame as well that really compliments this piece. Alfred Birdsey is a listed Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Bermudan Artist who was very popular for his brilliant abstract impressionist seascapes and village scenes!

Total frame measures 26″ by 36? with the painting measuring 20? by 30?, signed in the lower left of the painting “Birdsey”.

Raymond Everett (1885-1948) Oil on Board Painting of a River Scene

Here we have a Beautiful Oil on Board painting of a scenic River & House in Autumn by the famous Raymond Everett.

Raymond Everett is best known for his landscapes of Texas and street scenes. Aside from painting, he was a graphic artists, sculptor, and teacher.

Everett was born in New Jersey and attended the Drexel Institute of Technology, Philadelphia where he studied under Howard Pyle. He graduated form Harvard University in 1909 after studying under Joseph Lindon Smith and Denman Waldo Ross. Everett received additional studies under Hermann Dudley Murphy.

In 1909 Everett helped to organize the architecture department at Pennsylvania State College and in the following year joined the faculty at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in the architecture department. During this time Everett spent time in Europe sketching architectural monuments followed by studies in Rome and at the Academie Julian, Paris. In 1915 he began working at the University of Texas, Austin where he taught drawing and painting. Everett taught at the university until his death in 1948. He was buried in Austin, Texas.

Everett was a member of the Guild of Austin Artists; Pen and Brush Club, Boston; Southern States Art League and the Texas Fine Arts Association. Exhibitions include Elisabet Ney Museum, Austin; Annual Texas Artists Exhibition, Fort Worth; Edgar B. Davis Competition, San Antonio; Southern States Art League Annual Exhibition; Annual Texas Artists Circuit Exhibition; Guild of Austin Artists and the Annual Southeast Texas Artists Exhibition, Houston, Texas.

We are asking $1,500, which is low for Everett’s work, due to some light scratching to the painting. Call for more details.
